1. General Terms
1.1 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, using, or booking services at Diyawanna SkyDome Arena ("the Arena", "we", "us", "our"), you ("user", "customer", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our facilities or services.
1.2 Definitions
- Arena: Diyawanna SkyDome Arena, located on the 6th Floor, Diyawanna Apartment Complex, Thalawathugoda, Colombo, Sri Lanka
- Services: All facilities, equipment, and services provided by the Arena
- Booking: Any reservation made for the use of Arena facilities
- User: Any individual or organization using Arena services
- Event: Any activity, gathering, or function held at the Arena
1.3 Eligibility
Users must be at least 18 years old to make bookings. Minors under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Corporate bookings may be made by authorized representatives of registered organizations.
1.4 Facility Description
The Arena is a multipurpose rooftop indoor facility designed for sports, entertainment, and recreational activities. We provide a climate-controlled environment with professional-grade equipment and safety features.
2. Booking Policies
2.1 Booking Requirements
- Minimum booking duration: 1 hour
- Maximum advance booking: 30 days
- Payment required at time of booking
- Valid contact information must be provided
- Booking confirmation will be sent via email
2.2 Payment Terms
Full payment is required at the time of booking. We accept credit cards, debit cards, bank transfers, and cash payments (for on-site bookings only). All prices are in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
2.3 Booking Confirmation
Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of full payment and email confirmation. Verbal confirmations or pending payments do not constitute confirmed bookings.
2.4 Booking Modifications
Modifications to confirmed bookings are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Requests for modifications must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled time.
2.5 No-Show Policy
Failure to arrive within 30 minutes of the scheduled start time without prior notice will result in forfeiture of the booking and full charge of the booking fee.
3. Facility Rules
3.1 General Conduct
- Respectful behavior towards staff, other users, and property is required
- Follow all posted signs and staff instructions
- Maintain appropriate noise levels to respect neighboring residents
- Report any accidents, injuries, or damages immediately to staff
- Comply with all safety guidelines and emergency procedures
3.2 Dress Code and Equipment
- Appropriate sports attire required for all activities
- Non-marking sports shoes mandatory on playing surfaces
- Personal protective equipment recommended for contact sports
- Arena equipment must be used properly and returned in good condition
3.3 Capacity Limits
Maximum capacity limits must be observed for safety reasons. Exceeding stated capacity limits may result in immediate termination of the booking without refund.
3.4 Food and Beverages
- Outside food and beverages are generally prohibited
- Exceptions may be made for special events with prior approval
- Catering services available through approved partners
- Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited
- Smoking is prohibited throughout the facility
3.5 Photography and Recording
Photography and video recording for personal use is permitted. Commercial photography or recording requires prior written approval and may incur additional fees.
4. Usage Limitations
4.1 Prohibited Activities
- Activities that may damage facility infrastructure or equipment
- Hazardous or dangerous activities posing safety risks
- Excessive noise-generating events disturbing neighbors
- Unauthorized commercial activities or sales
- Activities involving open flames, fireworks, or pyrotechnics
- Use of illegal substances or excessive alcohol consumption
4.2 Age Restrictions
- Children under 16 must be supervised by adults at all times
- Certain equipment may have specific age requirements
- Adult supervision ratios apply for group activities with minors
4.3 Equipment Usage Guidelines
- Equipment must be used only for its intended purpose
- Users are responsible for proper care and handling
- Damaged or lost equipment will be charged to the user
- Personal equipment must meet safety standards
4.4 Time Limits
During peak hours, time limits may be enforced to ensure fair access for all users. Extensions are subject to availability and additional charges.
5. Cancellation & Refund Policy
5.1 Cancellation Notice
- 24+ hours notice: Full refund
- 12-24 hours notice: 50% refund
- Less than 12 hours: No refund
- No-show: Full charge, no refund
5.2 Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days to the original payment method. Processing fees may apply for certain payment methods.
5.3 Force Majeure
In cases of extreme weather, natural disasters, or other circumstances beyond our control, bookings may be cancelled or rescheduled. Full refunds or rescheduling options will be provided.
5.4 Facility Closure
If the Arena must close due to maintenance, safety concerns, or other operational issues, affected bookings will receive full refunds or rescheduling options.
6. Liability & Insurance
6.1 Assumption of Risk
Users acknowledge that participation in sports and recreational activities involves inherent risks. Users participate at their own risk and assume responsibility for their safety and well-being.
6.2 Limitation of Liability
The Arena's liability is limited to the amount paid for the booking. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our facilities.
6.3 Insurance Coverage
The Arena maintains comprehensive liability insurance. Users are encouraged to maintain their own personal insurance coverage for activities and personal property.
6.4 Property Damage
Users are responsible for any damage to Arena property caused by their actions or negligence. Repair or replacement costs will be charged to the responsible party.
6.5 Personal Property
The Arena is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property. Users are advised to secure valuables and not leave personal items unattended.
7. Privacy Policy
7.1 Information Collection
We collect personal information necessary for bookings, including name, contact details, and payment information. This information is used solely for service provision and communication.
7.2 Data Usage
- Processing bookings and payments
- Communicating about services and bookings
- Improving our services and facilities
- Compliance with legal requirements
7.3 Data Protection
We implement appropriate security measures to protect personal information. Data is stored securely and access is limited to authorized personnel only.
7.4 Third-Party Sharing
Personal information is not shared with third parties except as necessary for service provision (e.g., payment processing) or as required by law.
7.5 Data Retention
Personal information is retained only as long as necessary for service provision and legal compliance. Users may request data deletion subject to legal requirements.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Arena Property
All content, designs, logos, and materials related to Diyawanna SkyDome Arena are protected by intellectual property rights and remain the property of the Arena.
8.2 User Content
Users retain rights to their own content but grant the Arena permission to use photos, videos, or testimonials for promotional purposes unless explicitly requested otherwise.
8.3 Trademark Usage
The Arena's name, logo, and trademarks may not be used without written permission for commercial purposes or in a manner that could cause confusion.
9. Dispute Resolution
9.1 Complaint Process
Complaints should first be addressed with Arena management. We are committed to resolving issues promptly and fairly through direct communication.
9.2 Mediation
If direct resolution is not possible, disputes may be resolved through mediation by a mutually agreed upon mediator.
9.3 Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any legal proceedings will be conducted in the appropriate courts of Sri Lanka.
9.4 Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
10. Modifications to Terms
10.1 Updates
These terms may be updated periodically to reflect changes in services, legal requirements, or operational procedures. Users will be notified of significant changes.
10.2 Notification
Updates will be posted on our website and communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
10.3 Effective Date
These terms are effective as of January 1, 2025, and supersede all previous versions.
